Remembering

Richard W. Fowler, 65, died in Athens, GA. March 24, 2011

A native of Watertown, NY, he was a son of the late Donald Roy and Betty Mae Merriam Fowler. He was a graduate of the University of Georgia and a Vietnam Veteran of the United States Air Force. Mr. Fowler was currently employed with Athens BMW and enjoyed golfing and running.

Memorial services will be Monday, March 28, 2011, at 2:00 PM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, EAST with Rev. Sheila Bookout officiating.

Survivors include his wife of forty-two years, Judy K. Fowler; son, Matthew Fowler of Athens; daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Matthew Knisely of Cumming, GA; two brothers, Donald Bruce Fowler of Fulton, NY and Terry Fowler of Port Orchard, WA; sister, Linda Rigabar of Sackets Harbor, NY; numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Fowler was affectionately known as “Poppy” to his two granddaughters, McRae and Alaini.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 4:00 until 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
